TL;DR
Childhood trauma in mothers is linked to specific mental health symptoms during pregnancy and postpartum, suggesting a need for targeted treatment.
Contribution
This study identifies paranoia and hypomania as indicators of childhood trauma in peripartum mental disorders.
Findings
Childhood trauma correlates with increased paranoia and hypomania symptoms in peripartum mental disorders.
A regression model explained 60% of the variance in trauma scores based on MMPI-2 clinical scales.
