Keynote 3: Professor Adrian BaumanSystems approaches to physical activity – becoming commonplace or still a rare occurrence?

TL;DR
Systems thinking is being used to plan population-level physical activity initiatives, integrating health and non-health sectors for long-term impact.
Contribution
The paper highlights systems thinking as a framework for physical activity planning, emphasizing its integration across sectors and long-term implementation.
Findings
Systems approaches to physical activity involve mapping influences and identifying priorities for action.
System dynamic models can predict outcomes based on different intervention combinations.
Systems work often occurs at the municipal level and requires long-term commitment for impact.
