M. A. Linden, R. Leonard, L. Ewing-Cobbs, K. C. Davis, L. Schrieff-Brown

TL;DR
This review finds a lack of mental health interventions for family carers of children with brain injuries in low and middle income countries.
Contribution
The study highlights the absence of targeted mental health support for caregivers in low-resource settings.
Findings
Only one study met the criteria, focusing on a brain injury called nodding syndrome in Sub-Saharan Africa.
No study solely addressed mental health support for family carers of children with brain injuries in LMIC.
There is a critical need for programs to support caregivers' mental health to improve child outcomes.
