TL;DR
This paper presents the draft genome of a new archaeon found in an alkaline soda lake in Russia.
Contribution
The study provides the first draft genome sequence of Methanocalculus natronophilus sp. strain Z-7105T.
Findings
The archaeon was isolated from Lake Tanatar II, an alkaline soda lake in Altai, Russia.
The draft genome sequence is reported for this newly identified methanogenic archaeon.
Abstract
A methanogenic archaeon was isolated from bottom sediments in the vicinity of Lake Tanatar II (Altai, Russia), an alkaline soda lake. Here we present the draft genome sequence of Methanocalculus natronophilus sp. strain Z-7105T.
Genes, proteins, chemicals, diseases, species, mutations and cell lines named across the full text — each resolved to its canonical identifier and authoritative record.
