TL;DR
This study examines how the prices of essential anticancer medicines in China have changed over time and across regions from 2015 to 2022.
Contribution
The study provides new insights into the effectiveness of Chinese government policies on anticancer medicine pricing and regional disparities.
Findings
Prices for targeted anticancer medicines decreased continuously, while non-targeted medicines showed mixed trends.
Provincial price variation decreased for most targeted medicines but increased for many non-targeted ones.
Geographic correlation in price increases was observed, with no clear link to regional economic factors like GDP.
