Rahul Ramakrishnan, Kevin Kuang, Vijay Rajput, Sachin Mohan

TL;DR
This paper reports a rare case of gastrointestinal bleeding in an adult caused by Meckel's diverticulum, emphasizing the need for varied diagnostic approaches.
Contribution
Highlights the rare occurrence of Meckel's diverticulum as a cause of adult gastrointestinal bleeding and the diagnostic utility of technetium-99m imaging.
Findings
Meckel's diverticulum can cause gastrointestinal bleeding in adults.
Technetium-99m pertechnetate scintigraphy with SPECT/CT was effective in diagnosing the condition.
Conventional diagnostic tests failed to identify the cause of bleeding.
Abstract
Our report details a rare case of gastrointestinal bleeding in an adult male from Meckel's diverticulum. Diagnostic tests were negative except for technetium‐99m pertechnetate scintigraphy with SPECT/CT, highlighting importance of diverse modalities.
