Advances of Molecular Targeted Therapy in EGFR-mutated Squamous Cell Lung Cancer
Bingwan XIONG, Wenfei KE, Wenyang JIANG

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent advances in EGFR-targeted therapies for a rare type of lung cancer with EGFR mutations, focusing on treatment outcomes and challenges.
Contribution
A comprehensive review of EGFR-targeted therapies specifically for EGFR-mutated squamous cell lung cancer.
Findings
EGFR mutations are rare in squamous cell lung cancer compared to adenocarcinoma.
EGFR-TKIs show some efficacy in EGFR-mutated squamous cell lung cancer patients.
More research is needed to improve treatment outcomes for this rare subgroup.
Abstract
Select randomized trials of the EGFR mutation rate and mutation type in squamous cell lung cancer Efficacy of the EGFR-TKIs in squamous cell lung cancer harboring EGFR mutation
