## TL;DR

Pulmonary histoplasmosis can look like lung cancer on imaging, leading to misdiagnosis, especially in immune-compromised patients.

## Contribution

Highlights the importance of considering fungal infections in the differential diagnosis of lung masses.

## Key findings

- Pulmonary histoplasmosis can mimic lung cancer radiologically.
- Immune-compromised patients are at higher risk for misdiagnosis.

## Abstract

Teaching point: Due to the mass-like appearance of pulmonary histoplasmosis in the lung, radiological misdiagnosis may occur. Fungal infections should be considered in the differential diagnosis, especially in immune-compromised patients.
