## TL;DR

This paper reports a rare case where two conditions, transient global amnesia and Takotsubo syndrome, occurred together due to emotional stress from caring for a terminally ill relative.

## Contribution

The paper highlights the simultaneous occurrence of two rare conditions triggered by emotional stress, expanding understanding of their potential interplay.

## Key findings

- Transient global amnesia and Takotsubo syndrome can occur simultaneously due to emotional stress.
- Long-standing emotional stress, not just acute stress, can trigger these conditions.
- Hypothyroidism and migraine may increase susceptibility to both disorders.

## Abstract

Takotsubo syndrome and transient global amnesia can occur simultaneously, not only in the context of acute but also long‐standing emotional stress. Probably, hypothyroidism and migraine make the patient more susceptible to both of these disorders.
