Friedmar R. Kreuz

TL;DR
This paper discusses the development and quality management of genetic counseling in Germany, emphasizing its evolving requirements and the need for standardized practices.
Contribution
The paper introduces a pilot ring trial as a novel approach to quality management in genetic counseling.
Findings
Genetic counseling now includes a wide range of testing types such as predictive and pharmacogenetic testing.
A pilot ring trial was initiated in 2018 to evaluate and standardize genetic counseling practices.
Quality management in genetic counseling is challenging due to the diversity of individual cases.
