## TL;DR

This paper presents the genome sequence of the Flame Shoulder moth, including its chromosomal structure and gene annotations.

## Contribution

The study provides a high-quality genome assembly and gene annotation for Ochropleura plecta.

## Key findings

- The genome assembly spans 643.9 megabases and includes 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules.
- Gene annotation identified 19,016 protein-coding genes using Ensembl.
- The mitochondrial genome is 15.34 kilobases in length.

## Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual female
Ochropleura plecta (the Flame Shoulder; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence is 643.9 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.34 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,016 protein coding genes.
