TL;DR
The EPIC program is a new multidisciplinary care initiative for pancreaticobiliary cancer patients to improve timely diagnosis and treatment coordination.
Contribution
A novel nurse-navigator facilitated multidisciplinary care pathway for pancreaticobiliary cancer patients was established and piloted.
Findings
64 patients were enrolled in the EPIC program within 3 months, with a mean age of 67 years.
The program successfully followed a structured care pathway with timely access to investigations and treatment.
Primary care outreach is suggested to further improve early detection and access to care.
