TL;DR
This study evaluated a self-management program for IBS patients with anxiety or depression, finding it acceptable but needing improvements in usability and implementation.
Contribution
The study introduces a comprehensive self-management intervention tailored for IBS with comorbid anxiety or depression, using mixed methods for formative evaluation.
Findings
The intervention was found acceptable and appropriate by both patients and providers.
Usability scores were moderate, with identified issues in delivery format and integration into healthcare settings.
Feasibility was confirmed for patients, but providers highlighted implementation challenges.
