B Sriram Shastry, Bill Sutherland, Fr\'ed\'eric Mila, Afonso Rufino

TL;DR
This paper investigates the ground-state entropy of the 2D Ising model on a frustrated Shastry-Sutherland lattice and explores a generalized model with relaxed zero-temperature constraints.
Contribution
It provides the first analysis of the ground-state entropy for this specific frustrated lattice and introduces a generalized model with variable constraints.
Findings
Calculated the ground-state entropy for the Shastry-Sutherland lattice.
Analyzed the effects of relaxing zero-temperature constraints on the model.
Provided insights into the configurational complexity of frustrated magnetic systems.
Abstract
We report the ground-state entropy of a 2-d Ising model on the Shastry-Sutherland lattice. We also study a generalization of this model, where a constraint on the zero temperature allowed configurations is removed continuously.
