TL;DR
This paper models the two-body decay processes of radially excited eta mesons using the extended NJL model, highlighting dominant decay channels and their contributions to meson widths.
Contribution
It provides a detailed theoretical analysis of decay channels of excited eta mesons within the extended NJL framework, identifying key decay modes.
Findings
Decay $ ext{eta}(1475) o K_0^* K, a_0 ext{pi}$ dominate the width.
Decay $ ext{eta}(1475) o K^* K$ has a smaller contribution.
Two-particle decays negligibly affect $ ext{eta}(1295)$ width.
Abstract
In the extended NJL model, two-body strong decays of the radially excited and mesons are described. It is shown that the two-body decays play a dominant role in determining the width of the radially excited meson . At the same time, the decays make a significantly smaller contribution to the total width. It is shown that two-particle decays give only a negligible contribution to the total width of the .
