TL;DR
This paper analyzes four-dimensional $ ext{SU}(N)$ $ ext{N}=2$ gauge theories with fundamental flavors, computing observables via localization, resumming non-planar corrections, and exploring implications for AdS/CFT correspondence at strong coupling.
Contribution
It provides explicit strong-coupling results for non-conformal and conformal $ ext{N}=2$ theories using localization, introducing an effective coupling $ ilde{ ext{lambda}}$ for resummation.
Findings
Resummation of non-planar corrections in large-$N$ limit using an effective coupling.
Explicit strong-coupling results for both superconformal and non-conformal theories.
Refined AdS/CFT dictionary with $ ilde{ ext{lambda}}$ as the bulk string coupling.
Abstract
We study a class of four-dimensional SU() gauge theories with two massless hypermultiplets in the rank-two antisymmetric representation and fundamental flavors. These theories are superconformal for and asymptotically free otherwise. Supersymmetric localization on the four-sphere applies in both cases and leads to matrix-model representations for a broad class of protected observables. Within this framework, we compute the free energy and the expectation value of the -BPS circular Wilson loop in the large- limit. For any , we show that the infinite series of non-planar corrections at large 't Hooft coupling can be resummed in terms of an effective coupling . In the non-conformal window (), this provides a first example in which localization leads to explicit results in the…
