Roman E. Gerasimov, Petr A. Krachkov, Roman N. Lee

TL;DR
This paper presents a detailed NNLO QED calculation of the charge asymmetry in the muon pair production process in electron-positron collisions, completing the analytical understanding of the differential cross section.
Contribution
It provides the first complete analytical NNLO correction to the charge asymmetry in $e^+e^- o ^-$, expanding precision in theoretical predictions.
Findings
Calculated NNLO QED corrections to the charge asymmetry.
Completed the analytical NNLO differential cross section for the process.
Enhanced the theoretical precision of muon pair production predictions.
Abstract
We calculate the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QED corrections to the -odd part of the differential cross section of the process. This part contributes to the angular and forward-backward asymmetry. Together with our earlier paper [10.1007/JHEP08(2025)118], this work completes the analytical calculation of differential cross section at NNLO.
