Women in STEM: Interview with Iris Abt
Elisabetta Gallo, Henriette Ullmann

TL;DR
This paper presents an interview with Iris Abt, highlighting her experiences as a woman in STEM, her educational background, and her contributions to neutrino physics and detector studies.
Contribution
It provides a personal perspective on a woman's journey through physics research and her role in significant scientific projects.
Findings
Iris Abt was the only woman in her course during her studies.
She contributed to neutrino physics and detector research.
Her career spans major physics laboratories and projects.
Abstract
We interviewed Iris Abt, who studied in Germany, being the only woman finishing studies in her course during that year. She then started her career in neutrino physics, moved to SLAC at the times of SLC, came back to Europe shaping part of the HERA program and made studies on germanium detectors.
