TL;DR
This paper models the photoproduction of the $f_2(1270)$ tensor meson on protons at few-GeV energies using a Regge framework with vector-meson exchanges, predicting differential cross sections and invariant mass distributions.
Contribution
It introduces a Regge-based model for $f_2(1270)$ photoproduction, including $ ho$ and $ ho$ exchanges, and extends to invariant mass distributions with a Breit--Wigner resonance description.
Findings
Calculated differential cross sections for $ o p f_2(1270)$ production.
Extended analysis to $ o ext{pion pairs}$ using Breit--Wigner resonance.
Provided predictions for experimental measurements at CLAS energies.
Abstract
We investigate the photoproduction of the tensor meson on the proton within a Regge-based framework, focusing on the reaction in the few-GeV energy region. The production mechanism is modeled through the exchange of vector-meson Regge trajectories in the -channel, including both and exchanges with phenomenologically motivated couplings. The scattering amplitudes are derived using Reggeized propagators and effective hadronic vertices, allowing for the calculation of differential cross sections in the narrow-width approximation. We further extend the analysis to the invariant mass distribution by incorporating a relativistic Breit--Wigner description of the resonance.
