Radio Environment Map for Energy-Efficient User-Centric Cell-Free M-MIMO Network
Marcin Hoffmann, Pawe{\l} Kryszkiewicz

TL;DR
This paper introduces a Radio Environment Map (REM) to optimize energy efficiency in user-centric cell-free M-MIMO networks, achieving up to 19% improvement by considering user location and power amplifier traits.
Contribution
It presents a novel REM-based approach for energy-efficient cluster formation in cell-free M-MIMO networks, integrating user location and amplifier characteristics.
Findings
EE improved by up to 19% using REM.
REM enables more energy-efficient cluster formation.
Incorporating user location and amplifier traits enhances performance.
Abstract
This paper proposes a Radio Environment Map (REM) for energy-efficient (EE) serving cluster formulation in a user-centric cell-free network. By incorporating the location of the user and the characteristics of the power amplifier, REM enables EE to be improved by up to 19%.
