TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a method to reduce laser frequency noise impact in long-distance coherent sensing over 100km of fiber by stabilizing the laser and using optimized probing codes.
Contribution
It introduces a stabilization technique combined with optimized probing codes to improve sensing performance over long fiber links.
Findings
Reduced noise floor over 100km of fiber
Effective laser stabilization in the estimated frequency zone
Enhanced sensing accuracy with optimized probing codes
Abstract
We estimate the laser frequency noise impact on coherent sensing using Distributed Fiber Sensing model. By stabilizing the laser in the estimated frequency zone, we demonstrate reduced noise floor over 100km using optimized probing codes
