TL;DR
This paper calculates the mass spectrum and decay properties of all-heavy tetraquarks with different flavors using a nonrelativistic potential quark model, predicting narrow decay widths and potential observability at LHC.
Contribution
It provides the first precise mass spectrum and decay width predictions for all-heavy tetraquarks with different flavors using the explicitly correlated Gaussian method.
Findings
Predicted mass ranges for various all-heavy tetraquarks.
Estimated narrow decay widths of a few MeV.
Potential detection channels at LHC include $$ and $J/a$ states.
Abstract
In a nonrelativistic potential quark model framework, we carry out a precise calculation of the mass spectrum of the all-heavy tetraquarks with different flavors, , , , and , by adopting the explicitly correlated Gaussian method. A complete mass spectrum for the states is obtained. For the , , , and systems, the states are predicted to lie in the mass ranges of , , , and ~GeV, respectively. Moreover, by using the obtained masses and wave functions, we evaluate the fall-apart decay properties within a quark-exchange model. The results show that the states of the all-heavy tetraquarks with different flavors may have narrow fall-apart decay widths, which ranging…
