TL;DR
This study explores how well the decay modes of the $ar{K}_1(1270)$ can be measured through semileptonic $D$-meson decays at BESIII, proposing a model-independent method to determine its branching ratio.
Contribution
It introduces a model-independent approach to measure $ar{K}_1(1270)$ decay branching ratios using multiple decay channels in semileptonic $D$ decays.
Findings
Feasibility of simultaneous analysis of four decay channels at BESIII.
Proposed method allows model-independent measurement of $ar{K}_1(1270)$ branching ratio.
Sensitivity estimates for decay mode measurements.
Abstract
A sensitivity study for the measurement of decay modes is performed using semileptonic -meson decays. The BESIII experiment is taken as a case study, where a simultaneous analysis of decays to the four thee-body final states , , , and is presented and a model-independent determination of \mbox{}, without requiring detailed knowledge of intermediate resonant contributions, is proposed.
