TL;DR
This paper employs higher categorical trace formalism within the AGCat 2-category to rederive key results in Deligne-Lusztig theory, advancing categorical methods in representation theory.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of higher categorical trace to Deligne-Lusztig theory using the AGCat formalism, providing new categorical insights.
Findings
Re-derivation of classical results in Deligne-Lusztig theory
Application of higher categorical trace formalism in representation theory
Advancement of categorical methods in algebraic geometry and representation theory
Abstract
We use the formalism of the (2-category) AGCat, developed in [GRV], and the operation of higher categorical trace to (re)derive a number of results in the Deligne-Lusztig theory.
