Chao-Qiang Geng, Xiang-Nan Jin, Chia-Wei Liu, Bin Wu

TL;DR
This paper investigates CP-odd observables linked to the strange-quark electric dipole moment in meson decays, proposing new methods to measure and constrain $d_s$ with current and future collider data.
Contribution
It identifies CP-odd observables from strange-quark EDM in meson decays and estimates sensitivities achievable with existing and upcoming experiments.
Findings
Sensitivity to $d_s$ at $ imes 10^{-16}$ e·cm with CMD-3 data.
Sensitivity to $d_s$ at $ imes 10^{-18}$ e·cm with BESIII data.
Future experiments can improve sensitivity by an order of magnitude.
Abstract
CP-odd observables originating from the strange-quark electric dipole moment () are identified in and evaluated in the chiral limit. A nonzero T-odd asymmetry requires anomalous couplings descending from a five-dimensional Chern-Simons construction. Modeling the running of and with vector-meson dominance, we estimate sensitivities to at the level of in data at CMD-3 and using existing samples at BESIII. Future experiments at the Super Tau-Charm Facility and Belle~II can further improve the reach by an order of magnitude.
