Single spin asymmetry in $e+p\to e'+B^\uparrow+X$
Yoshitaka Hatta, Oleg V. Teryaev

TL;DR
This paper explores a novel single spin asymmetry in electron-proton scattering, analyzing the asymmetry in the outgoing electron's momentum relative to the transverse spin of a baryon, using two theoretical frameworks.
Contribution
It introduces two theoretical approaches—the twist-three fracture function and the spin-dependent odderon—to describe this exotic asymmetry.
Findings
Proposes a new observable for spin asymmetry in electron-proton scattering.
Develops a theoretical description using twist-three fracture functions.
Analyzes the asymmetry in the high-energy limit with the odderon framework.
Abstract
We study an exotic type of single spin asymmetry in unpolarized electron-proton scattering, in which the outgoing electron momentum exhibits a left-right asymmetry relative to the transverse spin of the leading baryon in the target fragmentation region. We lay out two theoretical frameworks for describing this effect: The twist-three fracture function at high- and the spin-dependent odderon in the high energy limit.
