Analytical model of the photon ring with finite thickness
S.V. Chernov

TL;DR
This paper introduces an analytical model for thick asymmetric Gaussian photon rings, calculating the visibility function in two directions for very long baselines, aiding in high-resolution astronomical imaging.
Contribution
It presents a novel analytical model of thick asymmetric Gaussian rings with visibility calculations for extremely long baselines, advancing interferometric analysis.
Findings
Visibility function calculated for baselines up to 6 Earth diameters.
Model applicable to high-resolution interferometric observations.
Provides insights into photon ring structure with finite thickness.
Abstract
An analytical model of a thick asymmetric Gaussian ring is presented for which the visibility function is calculated in two perpendicular directions for baselines up to 6 of the Earth's diameter.
