A physical model of the Reeb foliation
Gianluca Bande, Gregorio Franzoni

TL;DR
This paper introduces a physical model of the Reeb foliation, constructed through geometric methods suitable for 3D printing, providing a tangible representation of a complex mathematical concept.
Contribution
It presents the first comprehensive physical model of the Reeb foliation using geometric 3D printing techniques, bridging abstract mathematics and tangible visualization.
Findings
First physical model of Reeb foliation created
Utilizes geometric methods for 3D printing
Enhances understanding of foliation structures
Abstract
In this paper, after explaining some basic aspects of the modern theory of foliations with the aim of describing the celebrated Reeb foliation, we propose the first construction of a comprehensive physical model of it. The construction of the model is obtained by an implementation of geometric methods for 3D printing.
