Reciprocity in Heavy Quark Fragmentation Function
V.V.Kiselev

TL;DR
This paper investigates the reciprocity relation between heavy quark fragmentation functions and the distribution of heavy quarks within hadrons, analyzing its theoretical basis and empirical relevance at high energies.
Contribution
It establishes and tests a reciprocity relation connecting heavy quark fragmentation functions with heavy quark distributions inside hadrons, providing insights into their interplay at high energies.
Findings
Reciprocity relation holds at high energies for heavy quark fragmentation.
Empirical data supports the theoretical reciprocity relation.
Provides a framework for understanding heavy quark hadronization processes.
Abstract
At high energies a form of fragmentation function for a heavy quark into a hadron is substantiated to agree with a reciprocity relation to the distribution of heavy quark as the virtual parton in the hadron. The relevance of the relation is analysed in its application to empirical data.
