Next-to-leading order analysis of $J/\psi + \gamma$ production in photon-photon collisions at CEPC
Ying-Zhao Jiang, Zhan Sun

TL;DR
This paper performs a detailed NLO analysis of $J/$ plus photon production in photon-photon collisions at CEPC, highlighting the dominance of direct photon processes and the potential to test NRQCD LDMEs through polarization measurements.
Contribution
It provides the first NLO calculation of $J/ + \u03b3$ production in $$ collisions, emphasizing polarization sensitivities to specific LDMEs and proposing a high-precision test of NRQCD universality.
Findings
Direct photon process dominates at CEPC energies.
$J/$ polarization is highly sensitive to the $^3P_J^{[8]}$ LDME.
Resolved photon contributions are negligible.
Abstract
We systematically investigate the production of in collisions within nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, with the direct-photon channel calculated specifically up to the next-to-leading order in . Calculations for CEPC energy region show the resolved photon contribution is negligible, while the direct photon process dominates, yielding substantial annual yields. Significant modifications to polarization parameters emerge from color-octet mechanisms, and different NRQCD long distance matrix elements (LDMEs) further yield distinct polarization patterns. Furthermore, the polarization predictions are highly sensitive to the LDME, while being insensitive to the and LDMEs. Leveraging the cleaner environment of collisions versus hadronic processes, the production of …
