TL;DR
This study reports the first measurements of certain decay modes of the $ ext{Xi}_c^{0}$ baryon, observing some decays and setting limits on others, thereby enhancing understanding of charm baryon decay mechanisms.
Contribution
It provides the first measurements of the branching fractions for $ ext{Xi}_c^{0} o ext{Lambda} ext{eta}$ and $ ext{Lambda} ext{eta'}$, and sets an upper limit for $ ext{Xi}_c^{0} o ext{Lambda} ext{pi}^0$, using Belle and Belle II data.
Findings
Observed $ ext{Xi}_c^{0} o ext{Lambda} ext{eta}$ decay.
Evidence for $ ext{Xi}_c^{0} o ext{Lambda} ext{eta'}$ decay.
Set upper limit on $ ext{Xi}_c^{0} o ext{Lambda} ext{pi}^0$ branching ratio.
Abstract
Using data samples of 988.4 fb and 427.9 fb collected with the Belle and Belle II detectors, we present a study of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays , , and . We observe the decay and find evidence for the decay , with corresponding branching ratios determined to be and , respectively. We find no significant signal in the decay mode and set an upper limit at the 90% credibility level of . Multiplying these ratios by the…
