TL;DR
This study searches for CP violation in the decay of neutral D meson pairs produced in electron-positron collisions, setting upper limits on the process where no significant CP violation signal is observed.
Contribution
First experimental search for CP violation in $e^+e^- o \psi(3773) o D^0ar{D}^0$ decays with new upper limits established.
Findings
No significant CP violation signal observed.
Upper limit on cross section set at 7.37 fb.
Upper limit on branching fraction is $2.04 imes 10^{-6}$.
Abstract
Utilizing data sample of electron-positron collisions recorded with the BESIII detector at the center of mass energy of 3.773 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.28 fb, we report the first search for the CP forbidden process . No significant signal is observed. We set the upper limit on the observed cross section to be 7.37 fb, and the upper limit on the joint branching fraction of the C-odd correlated neutral pair at the 90% confidence level.
