Pulsatile Annular Flow with Coaxial Fluid Jet
Jean-Luc Boulnois

TL;DR
This paper derives exact solutions for steady and pulsatile annular flows with a coaxial jet, highlighting how a high-velocity inner jet can improve flow profiles and rates, relevant for cardiovascular system modeling.
Contribution
It introduces analytical models for pulsatile annular flow with a coaxial jet, including the effects of synchronized high-velocity jets on flow enhancement.
Findings
High-velocity jets significantly increase flow rate.
Analytical solutions for pulsatile and steady annular flows.
Potential applications in cardiovascular flow optimization.
Abstract
This study provides exact analytical solutions for both steady-state and pulsatile annular flows in coaxial cylindrical systems. It also examines the effects of a synchronized inner tube high velocity jet and its potential impact on annular blood flow. The presence of such fluid jet significantly enhances the velocity profile and flow rate across the annular section. These models offer valuable insights into optimizing flow performance in potential cardiovascular applications.
