\'Alvaro Arboleya, Adolfo Guarino, Matteo Morittu, Giuseppe Sudano

TL;DR
This paper explores the impact of open strings on the stability and landscape of non-supersymmetric AdS3 flux vacua in type IIB string theory, revealing new stable solutions and robustness of existing ones.
Contribution
It demonstrates the perturbative stability of certain non-supersymmetric AdS3 flux vacua under open-string moduli fluctuations and uncovers a large class of new stable vacua due to open-string dynamics.
Findings
Perturbative stability of some non-supersymmetric AdS3 vacua is confirmed.
A new class of stable AdS3 flux vacua emerges from open-string moduli dynamics.
Comments on the scale separation issue in these vacua are provided.
Abstract
The role of open strings is investigated in the context of AdS flux vacua arising from type IIB orientifold reductions. On the one hand, contrary to expectations, the perturbative stability of certain recently found non-supersymmetric AdS flux vacua is shown to be robust under fluctuations of the open-string moduli. On the other hand, a wealth of new perturbatively stable AdS flux vacua appears as a consequence of the non-trivial dynamics of open-string moduli. We also comment on the issue of scale separation in these AdS flux vacua.
