TL;DR
This paper presents precise measurements of branching fraction ratios in B meson decays to J/psi and eta or eta' mesons, constraining the eta/eta' mixing angle and indicating a significant glueball component in eta' mesons.
Contribution
First precise measurement of B meson decay ratios to eta and eta' states, providing new constraints on eta/eta' mixing and glueball content.
Findings
Measured mixing angle φ_P ≈ 41.6° consistent with previous results.
Found gluonic mixing angle φ_G ≈ 28.1°, indicating a substantial glueball component.
Results are the most precise to date, superseding previous measurements.
Abstract
Branching fraction ratios between the decays are measured using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of , and , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of . The measured ratios of these branching fractions are and , where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic and related to the precision of the branching fractions, respectively. They are used to constrain the mixing angle, , and to probe the presence of a possible glueball component in the…
