Jeremias Aguilera Damia, Jorge G. Russo

TL;DR
This paper investigates large N phase transitions in $\\mathcal{N}=2$ $SU(N)$ gauge theories with massive hypermultiplets, revealing a third-order phase transition driven by mass deformation at a critical coupling.
Contribution
It provides the first example of a mass-deformation-driven phase transition in $\\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal field theories using supersymmetric localization.
Findings
Identified third-order phase transition at critical 't Hooft coupling.
Demonstrated phase transitions occur with mass deformations of UV fixed points.
Commented on implications for integrated correlators in these theories.
Abstract
We study large phase transitions in theories with gauge group and massive hypermultiplets in diverse representations. Using supersymmetric localization we identify cases where phase transitions occur. In particular, we consider deformations of UV superconformal fixed points by giving two different masses to the fundamental hypermultiplets, and show that these theories undergo a third-order phase transition at a critical value of the 't Hooft coupling. This provides the first example of a phase transition driven by a mass deformation of a superconformal field theory. We also comment on integrated correlators in these theories.
