TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of the decay $D^+ o K_S^0 o ar{K}^*(892)^0 o ext{leptons} u$, measures its branching fractions, analyzes decay dynamics including S-wave contributions, and tests lepton flavor universality with results consistent with the Standard Model.
Contribution
First observation of the $D^+ o K_S^0 o ar{K}^*(892)^0 o ext{leptons} u$ decay, with detailed decay dynamics analysis and lepton flavor universality test.
Findings
First detection of $D^+ o K_S^0 o ar{K}^*(892)^0 o ext{leptons} u$ decay.
Measured branching fractions with improved precision.
No evidence of lepton flavor universality violation.
Abstract
We report a study of the semileptonic decays () based on of collision data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. The decay is observed for the first time, with a branching fraction of , and the branching fraction of is determined with the improved precision as . From the analysis of the dynamics, we observe that the dominant component is accompanied by an -wave contribution, which accounts for of the total decay rate of the channel and of the channel. Assuming a…
