TL;DR
This paper uses TESS photometry to perform the first asteroseismic analysis of the bright red giant HD145250, accurately determining its mass and radius and confirming consistency with previous models.
Contribution
It provides the first asteroseismic analysis of HD145250, deriving its fundamental parameters from TESS data and validating them against existing stellar models.
Findings
Mass ~1.4 M_sun
Radius ~16 R_sun
Results agree with previous estimates
Abstract
We present the first asteroseismic analysis of the bright, nearby red giant star, HD145250. We calculate the global seismic quantities of the star from single-sector, 2-minute TESS photometry, and determine its mass and radius to be ~1.4 M and ~16 R using asteroseismic scaling relations. Our values agree with published non-seismic mass and radius estimates based on comparisons with stellar evolutionary models.
