Bryan Briones, Ronald E. Mickens, and Charmayne Patterson

TL;DR
This paper introduces the concept of academic genealogies, demonstrating how to construct AG charts and applying this methodology to analyze the academic lineages of Samuelson and Mickens.
Contribution
It presents a new methodology for creating and analyzing academic genealogies using AG charts, with practical applications to notable scientists.
Findings
AG charts can effectively illustrate academic lineages.
The methodology provides insights into scientific influence and mentorship.
Application to Samuelson and Mickens showcases practical utility.
Abstract
We introduce the concept of an academic genealogy, or AG, and illustrate how AG charts may be constructed and then demonstrate how this methodology can be used by applying it to create the partial or full AG charts to two scientists, Paul A. Samuelson and Ronald E. Mickens.
