Abstract
We propose a mechanism called sphalerogenesis to explain the baryon asymmetry of the universe (BAU). The BAU is explained by a CP-violating decay of the electroweak sphaleron. We introduce a dimension-six operator constructed from weak gauge fields: . We find that the BAU can be explained if . This scenario can be tested by electron electric dipole moment measurements in the near future.
