TL;DR
CONTUR 3 enhances the RIVET-based toolkit with new statistical methods, efficiency, plotting tools, and expanded measurements, facilitating rapid testing of new physics models against LHC data.
Contribution
This release introduces significant improvements in statistical analysis, computational efficiency, visualization, and expands the measurement database for better model testing.
Findings
Enhanced statistical treatments improve limit-setting accuracy.
Efficiency improvements reduce computation time.
New measurements and predictions expand the testing scope.
Abstract
The CONTUR toolkit exploits RIVET and its library of more than a thousand energy-frontier differential cross-section measurements from the Large Hadron Collider to allow rapid limit-setting and consistency checks for new physics models. In this note we summarise the main changes in the new CONTUR 3 major release series. These include additional statistical treatments, efficiency improvements, new plotting utilities and many new measurements and Standard Model predictions.
