TL;DR
This paper investigates the beam single-spin asymmetry in dihadron production during SIDIS, using a spectator model to estimate twist-3 and twist-2 functions, and compares predictions with experimental data.
Contribution
It provides the first estimation of $A_{LU}^{ ext{sin}\phi_R}$ using a spectator model for twist-3 PDFs and DiFFs, including QCD evolution effects, and offers predictions for future experiments.
Findings
Good agreement with $z$- and $M_h$-dependencies data.
Discrepancies in $x$- and $Q^2$-dependencies.
Negligible contribution from $f_1 imes ilde{G}$ supports Wandzura-Wilczek approximation.
Abstract
We study the longitudinal beam single-spin asymmetry of dihadron production in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering process with a polarized electron beam scattering off an unpolarized proton target. The asymmetry arises from the convolutions of twist-3 PDF and twist-2 DiFF as well as twist-2 PDF and twist-3 DiFF . Using the spectator model calculations for the twist-3 PDF , the DiFFs , and , we estimate the BSA at the kinematical configuration of CLAS and CLAS12. We find good agreement with - and -dependencies data, though - and - dependencies show discrepancies. We include DGLAP evolution of and provide predictions for COMPASS, EIC, and EicC. The negligible contribution from…
