TL;DR
This paper computes next-to-leading order corrections for single inclusive hadron production in small-x deep inelastic scattering with a transverse photon, clarifying divergence cancellations and evolution effects.
Contribution
It provides the first NLO calculation for this process with a transverse photon in the color glass condensate framework, detailing divergence handling and evolution.
Findings
UV and soft divergences cancel out.
Collinear divergences lead to fragmentation function evolution.
Rapidity divergences drive small-x dipole amplitude evolution.
Abstract
We calculate the next-to-leading order corrections to single inclusive hadron production in deep inelastic scattering at small using the color glass condensate formalism, for the case when the exchanged photon is transversely polarized. We show all UV and soft divergences cancel while collinear and rapidity divergences result in scale evolution of quark-hadron fragmentation function and small-x evolution of dipole amplitudes, respectively.
