Avoiding singularities with propagating torsion
Luca Fabbri

TL;DR
This paper explores a gravity theory with propagating torsion interacting with spinors, demonstrating how it modifies energy conditions to prevent the formation of singularities.
Contribution
It introduces a torsional gravity model with propagating torsion that alters energy conditions, providing a potential mechanism to avoid singularities in spacetime.
Findings
Torsion propagates as an axial-vector field.
Modified energy conditions prevent singularity formation.
Interaction with spinor fields influences gravitational dynamics.
Abstract
We consider the torsional completion of the theory of gravity in which the torsion is a propagating axial-vector field interacting with spinor fields: we show how this changes the energy conditions leading to singularity formation being avoided.
