On the Moutard transformation singularity for the Davey--Stewartson II equation
Yi C. Huang

TL;DR
This paper explicitly constructs the Moutard transformation singularity for the Davey--Stewartson II equation, demonstrating how to handle indeterminacy points and explaining the 'mass drop' phenomenon through this singularity formation.
Contribution
It provides an explicit method to obtain the Moutard transformation singularity for the DS II equation and justifies the 'mass drop' phenomenon via this scheme.
Findings
Explicit construction of Moutard transformation singularity for DS II
Justification of the 'mass drop' phenomenon
Handling of indeterminacy points in the transformation
Abstract
We indicate explicitly how to obtain the Moutard transformation singularity for the Davey--Stewartson II equation with two indeterminancy points. We also justify an arbitrary order ``mass drop" phenomenon via this singularity formation scheme.
