$\Lambda_{c}(2910)$ and $\Lambda_{c}(2940)$ productions in $\pi^{-} p$ scattering process
Quan-Yun Guo, Dian-Yong Chen

TL;DR
This paper investigates the production of $\\Lambda_c(2910)$ and $\\\Lambda_c(2940)$ in $\\pi^{-} p$ scattering, modeling them as molecular states, estimating cross sections, and predicting that a structure around 2.9 GeV is likely $\\Lambda_c(2910)$, guiding future experiments.
Contribution
It introduces a molecular state model for $\\Lambda_c(2910)$ and $\\\Lambda_c(2940)$, providing cross section estimates and predictions for experimental identification.
Findings
The total cross section at 15 GeV is approximately 0.49 nb.
The $t$-channel dominates the production process.
The structure around 2.9 GeV is likely $\\Lambda_c(2910)$.
Abstract
In the present work, we propose to investigate the productions of and in the processes by utilizing an effective Lagrangian approach, where and are considered as molecular states with quantum numbers to be and , respectively. With the cutoff parameter determined by the upper limit of the cross sections for , the ratios of the cross sections for , , , and are estimated to be at GeV. Considering that the and state can further decay into , we estimate the cross sections for $\pi^{-} p…
