Teissier singularities
Hussein Mourtada, Bernd Schober

TL;DR
This paper introduces Teissier singularities, proposing their potential role in resolving singularities in positive characteristic, analogous to quasi-ordinary singularities in characteristic zero.
Contribution
It defines Teissier singularities and explores their potential as a tool for resolution of singularities in positive characteristic.
Findings
Teissier singularities are introduced as a new class of singularities.
They are proposed as candidates for resolution techniques in positive characteristic.
The paper draws parallels with quasi-ordinary singularities in characteristic zero.
Abstract
The goal of this note is to introduce Teissier singularities and to explain why they are candidate to play, in positive characteristics, a role for resolution of singularities which is similar to the role played by quasi-ordinary singularities in characteristic zero.
