$CP$ violation in the $HZZ$ vertex and left-right asymmetries
A. I. Hern\'andez-Ju\'arez, R. Gait\'an

TL;DR
This paper explores how flavor-changing neutral currents can induce new CP-violating effects in the Higgs-Z-Z vertex, potentially leading to observable deviations from Standard Model predictions in asymmetry measurements.
Contribution
It introduces calculations of FCNC-induced form factors in the $HZZ$ vertex, highlighting possible large CP-violating effects beyond the Standard Model.
Findings
CP-conserving form factor $h_2^V$ remains small
CP-violating form factor $h_3^V$ can reach $10^{-6}$
Left-right asymmetries may significantly deviate from SM predictions
Abstract
We investigate new contributions to the vertex from the Flavor Changing Neutral Current (FCNC) involving the Higgs and bosons. Our calculations reveal that the form factors and (, ) can be induced through these couplings, and we present our results in terms of the Passarino-Veltman scalar functions. Using the current limits on and couplings, we determine that the new contributions to the -conserving form factor are small compared to the Standard Model (SM) predictions. However, for the -violating form factor , the contributions can reach values as high as , five orders of magnitude larger than in the SM. Furthermore, we examine how these results influence the left-right asymmetries in the processes and . Our findings suggest that significant deviations from SM…
