Swagata Ghosh

TL;DR
This paper updates the bounds on the triplet vacuum expectation value in the Georgi-Machacek model using recent LHC data, refining previous limits based on new experimental results.
Contribution
It provides the latest constraints on the triplet vev in the Georgi-Machacek model from recent ATLAS and CMS data, improving upon previous bounds.
Findings
Updated triplet vev limits to 6.3-13.1 GeV for m_3 between 130-160 GeV.
Refined previous bounds from 7.8-17.4 GeV based on new LHC decay channel data.
Enhanced understanding of Higgs sector parameters in the Georgi-Machacek model.
Abstract
The Georgi-Machacek model containing singly as well as doubly charged Higgs bosons besides more than one neutral Higgs bosons preserves the custodial symmetry at the tree level. In addition to the doublet vacuum expectation value (vev) this model has one triplet vev , which was most strongly bounded from the above as a function of the custodial triplet mass previously by the data. The observed data from the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC for TeV for the channels , , , for the low mass charged Higgs set new limits on the triplet vev as a function of light charged Higgs boson afterward. Subsequent ATLAS data for the decay updates the limit on from the above as a function of . The…
