Otilia Ducu

TL;DR
This paper reports on ATLAS searches for higgsinos with R-parity violating couplings in events with leptons, using 139 fb$^{-1}$ of 13 TeV data, and presents improved exclusion limits on supersymmetry models.
Contribution
First search for higgsinos with R-parity violation in leptonic final states using a large dataset with improved analysis techniques.
Findings
No significant excess observed over Standard Model background.
Set new exclusion limits on higgsino masses and R-parity violating couplings.
Demonstrated the effectiveness of background estimation methods in complex final states.
Abstract
This document presents two searches for Supersymmetry through the direct production of pairs of higgsinos decaying into final states with leptons and (-) jets. The analyses are performed using 139~fb of the 13~TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector. The methods used to estimate the Standard Model and detector backgrounds are discussed, as well as their shortcomings. Finally, results in selected signal regions, and some exclusion limits, are presented, illustrating the significant improvement over the previous exclusion limits. Document based on a presentation at the XI International Conference on New Frontiers in Physics (ICNFP 2022).
